The convenience and advancement of smart phones, tablet computers and Internet search engines have gradually made people forget the library space. As a professional designer, I hope to design a new concept library in IMP to preserve this kind of good space for knowledge and communication.

The totality of the project exhibits the design of the new concept library space located in an abandoned school.

The proposed event space for this project aims to fulfil several objectives. It hopes to provide life and death education, to introduce pre-life planning, to educate people about the deeper meaning of Ashes Gemstone, and lastly, to create a spiritual space that can preserve life.  

The subject of Material Expression has helped develop my understanding of interior materials and how this new-found knowledge can be applied to my
Interior Major Project (IMP). It has helped me establish a clarified approach to materials which effectively prepares me for actual practice.  

With this module, I was able to study my professional identity and position through the different module components. For instance, Design Practice, Application, My Practice, Project Audit, and lastly, Regulations and services. In hindsight, this has helped me understand the practice of interior architecture and design more practically.

This paper studies the query of whether the library space can continue to
survive under the prominence of the e-reading habit.
Conclusively, in order for the library space to survive, several issues must
be addressed. Ultimately, an innovative design to diversify and increase the
attractiveness of the space is highly essential.
